Daily Study Log (2019-01-30)

  • I have tested the validity of my Python code and it turned out that the code yields the correct answer for a simple case.
  • I have plotted mass vs central density and mass vs radius of neutron stars using my code.
  • I have found some references to understand my research.

  • I have added 3 new words and studied 104 English words using Anki.
  • I have read Nature Briefing, AAS Nova, and two Astrobites articles. I learned supermassive primordial stars from the AAS Nova, and it is surprising that their mass can be reached 10^7 - 10^8 solar masses. It is believed that their collapse could cause the formation of quasars. I wonder they can actually exist in the early Universe. I also learned from one Astrobites article that there are two galaxies that contain NO dark matter! It’s a quite interesting discovery.
