I met my advisors and got some feedback. I need to test some cases in order to confirm that the result is really reasonable. I hope this process would not take too long. Well, it’s up to me.
I just knew that I need a 3 committee. I got 2 of them, but I need at least one experimentalist. We thought the observational astronomer would be fine, but the graduate director said we should have one experimentalist, that’s the rule. Actually, I think that is not fair for astronomy students. Of course, an experimental physicist could give some valuable feedback, but the field of interest is too different between theoretical astronomy and experimental physics.
Anyway, I started to look for one committee from experimental physics group and asked them for help. One of them couldn’t accept it since he has a conference at my defense date. The other professor was in the office, but he seemed to have a meeting. I sent an email to him instead.
